The Non-profit organization of handmade products "El Güegüense" is an initiative that is born inside the Program of Development to the small Company (FPE) from NITLAPAN - UCA, with the purpose of filling the existent void between the commercialization and the production of crafts goods made in wood, leather, clay, soapstone and textile.
The Program of Development to the Small Company (FPE) through "El Güegüense" looks to impact in the following aspects:
* To increase the sales of the artisans in a more sustained way enlarging the commercialization channels.
* To organize the offer of products and direct them to potentials markets.
* To stimulate the artisan to design what the market demands (Quality and Quantity) And to contribute to the managerial development of the artisans.
. To promote the creativity, originality of the products, and the culture of the Nicaraguan artisans.
The main offices are located in the NITLAPAN's building, inside the University campus of the Central American University (UCA) in the department of Managua, capital of Nicaragua.

To promote new channels for the merchandizing of quality products made in wood, clay, leather, textile and soapstone; elaborated by Nicaraguan artisans' hands to promote our culture and to establish ourselves in various niches of the market
Vision
A sound and trustworthy merchandizing enterprise that works for its clients to open and maintain new channels of international, regional and national sales, with a high level of social responsibility towards its clients and the community in which it operates.
Places where the crafts take place
The crafts are elaborated by hand by artisans of traditional towns as: San Juan de Oriente, Catarina, Masaya, Managua, La Paz Centro, Nagarote, among others.
In each craft we can find forms and designs that reflect the industry, culture creativity and overalls the quality with which each piece is elaborated.
